The Conversation

An Introduction

from Diana

People come to my husband for an innermost kind of conversation. Many times his words have changed lives— sometimes they have saved lives— as they saved and changed my own. Michael Anthony Lorence is my husband of thirty three years. Before we found our way to the woods we moved more than twenty times, ever in search of an innermost life to which there was no guide. We searched for it everywhere— in people and places and feelings and ideas. It was my husband who found it at last, and Innermost House is made of what he found. Now Michael speaks with those who search in earnest for answers to the questions we all share, questions of life and death and love and meaning. I hope the kind words on the following pages may serve to introduce his Conversation to the larger world.
